I recently bought my aunt’s McCall’s sewing machine at her estate sale. It resembles many older Singer models I have seen. It is black, has the silver frontplate. I am just curious about this machine and wondered if you had any information. For a picture of it, see my blog
quiltinjeanie.blogspot.com. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Jean,
How nice to have an heirloom sewing machine! Unfortunately, our fashion/textile knowledge doesn’t extend to the specifics of individual sewing machines.
I’d try the International Sewing Machine Collectors’ Society: http://www.ismacs.net/home.html
Good luck!
