And now, without further ado, the top five posts of 2012.

Claire McCardell's 1952 black and white dress with a greek key pattern was your favorite post of 2012.

You also loved our 1940s Lanz Original coat with embroidered strawberries.

Two 1970s Gunne Sax dresses caught your fancy.

Fred Astaire's brown suede tap shoes were popular too.

And who could resist this c. 1905 sheer, embroidered bodice?

Our post on taking a 1761 cloth-of-gold court bodice for an X-ray almost made the top five. We include it here because it was such a unique experience!
