Donuts and a DJ welcomed guests–including fashion bloggers, designers, and FIDM students and supporters–to the FIDM Museum's #4for400 Launch Party on August 4th. The museum is asking for donations of $4 (or more) to save 400 years of fashion history, in the form of the Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collection. Have you texted "MUSEUM" to 243725 to donate yet?

Halfway through the festivities, ABC 7 Eyewitness News aired a segment in support of the museum's groundbreaking social media campaign, calling it "a very modern approach to save irreplaceable history." Check out the link for an interview with FIDM Museum Curator Kevin Jones and gorgeous pictures of treasures from the Larson Collection!
FIDM students and supporters posed with props, including photos of objects from the Larson Collection.
Party guests toured the Fleurs: Botanicals in Dress from the Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collection exhibition, featuring fashions inspired by nature.
A raffle of great prizes including Nasty Gal and Border Grill gift cards, a George & Laurel necklace, and the FIDM Museum's own FABULOUS! catalogue raised more than $1,000 towards our fundraising goal. Fashion Council member Linda Plochocki and Museum Associate Joanna Abijaoude–who organized the #4for400 campaign–worked the raffle table. Every dollar counts, so please donate today! It's so easy to text, but you can also contribute online or by check. With your support, we can meet our goal and save 400 years of fashion!
